Cats are natural philosophers, ever hiding deep thoughts behind a calm façade. Like characters in Japanese Noh theater they take the audience by surprise, holding perfectly still until a sudden graceful gesture reveals meaning of universal significance. Drama exists in the everyday; the feint of repose contradicts the profondeur of the feline mind. Do not allow yourself to be fooled. Even if they speak French.
